In August 2024 Bangladesh experienced severe floods, mainly in its eastern regions, caused by heavy moonsoon rains and water coming from India. The flooding severely impacted districts like Feni, Comilla and Noakhali. The Flooding affected more than 5.8 Million people across 11 districts, with over 500,000 forced to leave their homes and move to shelters. The disaster caused widespread damage to infrastructure , including school which left around 1.75 million students unable to attend classes.
